The MTV Video Music Awards are always a hot topic around the Mobile Posse water cooler this time of year. Each year, it seems that viewers come away with one unforgettable moment that resonates in our collective pop culture consciousness, whether it’s Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, the infamous smooch between Britney Spears and Madonna, or Lady Gaga’s bizarre “meat outfit.” Surely, the 28th edition of the annual spectacle, which airs this Sunday night, will continue to shock, surprise and entertain. Mobile Posse users are clearly looking forward to the big night as hundreds of thousands of them made their voices heard in our latest survey. According to the poll results, almost two-thirds of the respondents said they’ll be watching the big show live this Sunday night. Mobile Posse users also had plenty of opinions to share regarding who would take home the “Moonmen” at this year’s ceremony. In the category of Best New Artist, most people feel that Wiz Khalifa has this one locked up, while Big Sean followed in second place. When asked who would win Best Female Video, Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” was in the lead, with Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls”) in the runner-up position. The Best Male Video will go to Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” according to Mobile Posse users, though Kanye West’s “All Of the Lights” wasn’t far behind.
