Michael Powell
Michael Powell is currently Chairman of the MK Powell Group and a Senior Advisor to Providence Equity Partners. He served as Commissioner of the FCC from 1997 to 2001 and as Chairman from 2001 to 2005. Prior to joining the FCC, Powell was Chief of Staff of the Antitrust Division in the Department of Justice, an associate in the Washington, DC office of the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers LLP and clerked for the Honorable Harry T. Edwards, Chief Judge of the United States court of Appeals for the District of Columbia circuit. Previous to his career as an attorney, Powell served as a policy advisor to Secretary of Defense, Richard B. Cheney and performed military service as an armored cavalry officer in the United States Army. He currently serves on the Boards for Cisco, the RAND Corporation, the Aspen Institute, ObjectVideo, CMWare and NTT DoCoMo. | What is Mobile Posse?Learn More> |
