Ford Motor Co.’s mobile idle-screen advertising campaign to drive consumer interest in the 2010 Ford Taurus achieved an average click-through rate of 20 percent.

Ford Motor Co.’s mobile idle-screen advertising campaign to drive consumer interest in the 2010 Ford Taurus achieved an average click-through rate of 20 percent.

The automaker tapped Mobile Posse for the campaign, which ran during November and December. Ford ran a national campaign promoting the launch of the redesigned Taurus, reaching more than 1 million of Mobile Posse’s opted-in base of mobile consumers across 210 designated market areas (DMAs).

Daily Scoop offers Verizon Wireless customers customized sports scores, weather, trivia, local gas prices and more, along with offers and discounts from local and national retailers.

Daily Scoop is a free application that customers can download from the Shopping n Style and Download This! categories under the Browse & Download section on Get It Now(R)-capable phones. Customers may choose to enter their age, gender and zip code, and Daily Scoop will deliver relevant information and offers from retailers located in customers' geographic areas.

A recent Dairy Queen mobile ad campaign saw a click-through-rate of more than 22 percent, proving once again the effectiveness of the mobile channel to engage consumers.

Mobile Posse Inc., a provider of idle-screen content and advertising for mobile, is helping Dairy Queen to reach consumers on-the-go through their mobile phones. Starting in March, Dairy Queen and digital agency space150 piloted Mobile Posse’s idle-screen advertising platform to promote its new Sweet Deals value menu.

The white-label service, called Alltel Perks, will let subscribers receive customized content such as sports scores, discounts, trivia and weather updates to the screen when the phone is not in use.
