Idle-screen mobile marketing solutions provider Mobile Posse announced its Memorial Day weekend campaign for the Ace Hardware chain generated an average click-through rate of 18 percent, with customers who viewed the promotion almost 30 percent more likely to visit their local Ace store. The Memorial Day campaign--executed by Horizon Media and powered by the Mobile Posse platform--consisted of two ads and a seven-day sponsorship of weather forecasts; close to 65 percent of Mobile Posse's opt-in customers viewed at least one component of the Ace promotion during the holiday weekend, seeing ads for seasonal products like RoundUp Weed & Grass Killer and Adirondack-style chairs. Ace Hardware stores are located in all 50 U.S. states and more than 60 countries, and generate more than $12 billion in annual retail sales.
