Acclaimed awards show reveals finalists at Show Stoppers at CTIA

Los Angeles, October 7th , 2009 - The Mobile Excellence Awards (www.mobilexawards.com) is proud to announce the 2009 finalists at the ShowStoppers event at CTIA, San Diego on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. Taking place from noon until 2pm, the ShowStoppers’ invite-only press conference and luncheon will host the Mobile Excellence Awards Pavilion where the finalists will be announced. Finalists will then move on to the next round of judging where announced and celebrated at The Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles on December 7, 2009 by industry luminaries and leaders and members of the press.

The Mobile Excellence Awards, produced by Little Monster Media, was founded in order to honor all walks of the mobile ecosystem, and to celebrate the best in mobile media, technology, marketing and entertainment. The awards show is sponsored in part by GoTV Networks, Virgin Mobile, Gamestop Digital Venture, Saffron Digital, Key Note Systems, Azuki Systems, among other industry leaders. The MEAs are also supported by industry leading, global organizations, GSMA, Wireless Industry Partnership, Show Stoppers and MobileMonday.

Allison Dollar, Co-Chair of the Mobile Excellence Awards and CEO of the ITV Alliance, says, “We’re thrilled with the depth and breadth of submissions this year. We received hundreds of submissions from over 12 countries, reflecting the exciting growth of the mobile industry and demonstrating the MEA’s position as the leading mobile awards program in the industry.”

The panel of esteemed judges were handpicked from industry leaders, chosen from the mobile and digital entertainment industries representing the creative community, major media companies, and digital & mobile media services. The judges will be scoring and selecting MEA winners based upon strategic initiatives and objectives, impact of technology used, creativity, ease of use and reach, and execution and proven market success.

This year’s finalists fall under seven separate award categories: Mobile Business, Mobile Technology, Mobile Entertainment, Mobile Marketing, Viral Mobile Campaign, Best Brand Marketing Campaign, and special honorary awards to include Mobile Ambassador Award, Peoples Choice Award, which will be conducted by mobile voting and the Industry Star Award which recognizes the fastest growing Mobile company based on accelerated growth, impact, and industry achievements overall.
